Now that I’ve been living in New York City for almost two years, I feel like my style has been heavily influenced by the city. I’ve adopted a more preppy, tailored aesthetic, and more or less abandoned my sporatic bohemian, West Coast leanings. However, I have a confession. I am obsessed with the laid back, California-cool style of Rachel Bilson.

Seriously, I think I love everything about her. The girl is a champion for the brunettes of the world, not to mention she rocks a pair of denim cutoff shorts better than anyone. From dressing them up with heeled booties and a cropped jacket or tucking in a silk blouse, to keeping it casual with a gingham shirt or white top – she can’t miss. She varies between dark and light denim, super distressed and peek-a-boo pockets, but always keeps her look pulled together with a great pair of shoes a jacket or a sterllar bag.
