Wolves are widely regarded as the ferocious and predatory cousins to dogs, one of our most cherished companion animals. Yet a new video shows these wild animals behaving no differently toward a human companion than domesticated dogs.

Over the course of two years, a woman, known only as Anita, socialized with the wolf pack at the Polar Zoo in Salangsdalen, Norway, the world’s northernmost zoo. She returned to visit the wolves after a two month hiatus. When the wolves spotted Anita, they rushed toward her and reacted with total delight by jumping all over her, whining excitedly and repeatedly licking her face.

If you want to feel good, watch the video of their amazing reunion below.
