BERLIN – The fifth GREENshowroom event, held during the recent Berlin Fashion Week, was once again hailed as a success after attracting numerous trade buyers to its display of high-end sustainable fashion, accessories and lifestyle products.

Running alongside the Ethical Fashion show, visitors were treated to an eclectic mix of from designers and brands such as Atelier Laure Paschoud, Atlantic Leather, early fish, goodsociety, HULA, Kaschuba Hommage, Pampa & Pop, Right as Rain, Slow Fashion Award 12, we3 and Sonja Heymann. The Stewart+Brown brand, recipient of the WGSN Global Fashion Award in October 2011, also made its GREENshowroom debut.

“The pioneering GREENshowroom concept unites the zeitgeist and high-end design with sustainability – a successful combination that has once again proven its worth. It is a concept with unlimited growth potential,” said Olaf Schmidt, Vice President Textiles & Textile Technologies at show owner, Messe Frankfurt.

Magdalena Schaffrin and Jana Keller, founders of the successful eco-fashion fair, were also delighted with the continued success of the event. “GREENshowroom has once again delivered more visitors than at the previous event, a very good development – and yet another example of the importance of fair trade fashion, as well as the demand for sustainable products,” they said.

Visitors were also treated to a runway show featuring designer such as Studio Ecocentric, Lovis, Atelier Laure Paschoud, Leibschneider, Kaschuba Hommage, RE 101, RoyalBLUSH, the rooters, wellicious, Uniwearsal, Stewart+Brown, Trigema Change, Pampa & Pop, Goodsociety and We3.

Running alongside the GREENshowroom, Messe Frankfurt also ran the Ethical Fashion Show which, making its debute at Berlin Fashion Week attracted 36 exhibitors at the ewerk venue.

The next GREENshowroom will be taking place from 4 to 6 July 2012 in the Hotel Adlon Kempinski in Berlin.
