bikestation

Lucky students at the Maharishi University of Management (MUM) in Fairfield, Iowa recently learned how to build a DIY solar-powered bicycle repair station as part of a class project. The class, which was led by instructor Rich Dana, installed the low-cost project next to the college’s new Sustainable Living Building. Modeled after the popular Dero “Fixit” bike stations, this DIY version was made from salvaged materials and is equipped with a few extra add-ons, such as the solar-powered compressor, work light, and USB charger. You can read more about the building process on Rich Dana’s blog.
