Why shouldn’t your furniture help keep you fit? Atelier Biagetti have produced what Wallpaper* calls “a playful take on familiar gym shapes; part aesthetic entertainment, part formal exercise.” They are rather elegant and expensive transformers and appear to be one of the hits of Milan Design Week,

Wallpaper writes:

The inspiration is more traditional apparatus such as wall bars, vaulting horses, weights and hanging rings. Their vintage look is enriched with precious and unexpected materials – silver calfskin is mixed with bright blue horse hair, navy fur sits next to neoprene, pink crystal is set beside steel.

Now admittedly one doesn’t see many silver plated vaulting horses in the gym, but it would look beautiful in your living room. Not sure about the electric blue pony skin, but it all comes together nicely for a great workout.
