For every Hand of Friendship Soap bar sold, the ethically minded company will donate 100 percent of the sales cost (that’s everything but the tax) to support the most urgent needs of refugees resettling in North America.
The limited edition soap ($5.95) has a springy cherry blossom scent and is made with skin-softening coconut and almond essential oils. Lush is also encouraging its in-store customers to write welcoming messages to incoming refugees on postcards, which read:
“Dear friend,
Ahlan wa Sahlan. I welcome you with open arms and a warm heart. One thing I would like to share with you is… (Fill in your personal message here).
I hope you find safety, comfort and community in your new home.
