Buldan, the birth place of Turkish textiles is a small village of 15.000 inhabitants on the inner Aegean region of Turkey. It holds a tradition of hand woven textiles dating back to the 13th century. Modern textile machine manufacturing has shrunk down Buldan’s capacity.
In our mission to celebrate the artisan and make jeans matter for the next generations, ORTABLU helped revive the local Traditional Weaving Craft in Buldan by creating a more viable business model.
