Dextras expertly weaves palms and leaves to create gorgeous bodices. Bark pieces are stitched together to form pencil skirts, while wild grasses jut into full skirts on others. Berries of all varieties add rich color and textures that are coupled with equally bold blooms. Each piece not only takes floral arrangement to the next level- but looks good enough to eat!

The fresh picked dresses were inspired by twenty onewomen in eco-fashion, with each piece custom-designed to suit the specific participant.  Unlike other dresses, these aren’t taken to the dry cleaner- but instead can be composted!  As part of the Earth Art Exhibition, Dextras displayed the twenty one pieces together on sustainable dress forms in a lush garden. Based on the Greek myth of Cadmus, the dresses seem to sprout like soldiers from the soil, marching together toward sustainability.

Truly organic, the green dresses are made entirely from sustainable, recyclable or compostable materials. The Little Green Dress Projekt fuses art, fashion, sustainability and botanica to bring awareness to the importance of environmentalism in fashion.
