I think this post might be a first for Eat, Sleep, Denim: Artist Ian Berry, known as Denimu, uses denim to create “paintings” of  London and New York as well as portraits. Using bleach, stencils and glue, Berry was able to manipulate the fabric and bring iconic scenes to life, such as Piccadilly Circus, Hampstead Heath and Camden Town — as well as incredibly detailed news stands and publications.

The artist told The Daily Mail, “Anything denim I will use. Jeans are obviously the major ones I use but I do like the jackets as they have lots of interesting bits like seams to play with. I like to use coloured jeans sometimes. People see them and ask if it is paint or something. But it is all jeans.”

Amazingly, the artist is just 28 years old, and took up art full time after feeling dissatisfied with his job as an art director. He recently showed and sold his pieces in Miami, and has even created an 8-foot mural in Indiana.
