For many, Madewell has become a staple in many a fashionista’s wardrobe. Simple and chic, their collections have a casual flair that embodies effortlessness. This season, they’re edging it up a little with their new creative director, Somsack Sikhounmuong. The “Madewell girl” was on her European vacation wearing bohemian clothes, but now has returned to New York. I personally like the new direction, as Madewell never really quite resonated with my own wardrobe, however this new collection is right where I’m at. Relaxed, distressed jeans, coveralls, and that quilted denim coat? Oh my. Now all we have to do is wait out the summer in all this gorgeous weather.
