Over the past week or so, I’ve been collaborating on a fun styling project with Hunter Boots, part of which I’m going to share today, because, well, it was really rainy yesterday.

I don’t think I’m alone in having trouble looking pulled together and feeling confident on dreary, soggy days. I always just want to put on a baggy sweater and leggings and call it a day. I’ve discovered though – that I can achieve this same cozy, comfortable feeling in a much more outside world-appropriate look. Are you ready for it?

Plaid button down + belted, water-resistant jacket + denim leggings + cool, tall boots.

These are my trusty Paige Denim Verdugo leggings, that I’ve had for years. They’re a perfect go-to jean, especially for tucking into a pair of boots like these Hunters. The other key here is having a great jacket. And on a rainy day, it’s got to slough off a little water – umbrella or not. I find that a little waist-definition is all I need to feel instantly more feminine and sophisticated on days like this.
