By Ann of Holier than Now,

To be honest, I was never a big fan of the boyfriend jean. For me, the question was: why move away from a flattering silhouette to something that did nothing for my body?
But now that the shape and size is being pushed a step further to an almost hip-hop influenced silhouette with a truly low crotch, I’m starting to love it. I guess it’s a “go big or go home” mentality; I like that these are extreme enough to make a statement versus just looking “casual.” This might mean going up a size in your boyfriend style jeans, or actually borrowing a dude’s jeans.
It’s certainly in keeping with the man-ish trends we’re seeing for Spring to pair your saggy baggies with sharp, boyish pieces, and there are some great finds below, but I’d be interested to play with this with a 20’s inspired lace tunic to maybe take it a grunge place … which would be, literally, alternative.

1. Current/Elliot The Boyfriend Cropped Jeans ($229)
2. One by Gerald & Stewart Short Pea Coat ($233)
3. Linea Pelle Vintage Perforated Holes Belt ($110)
4. Rag & Bone/JEAN The Sung Shirt ($136.50 – was $195)
5. Vera Wang Lavender Label Rafael Flat Boots ($297.50 – was $425)
Would you wear low-crotch jeans? What would you pair them with?
