I’m always looking for an excuse to highlight the classic denim jacket – I think it’s gotten a bad rap in the past, but I’m personally always finding new ways to wear mine!

New York’s Fashion Week gave me the courage to add this old school basic to the “must have” list.

From chic ensembles on top executives to casual looks on models off duty, the basic came alive (and kept us alive … it was cold out there)!  Think of your denim jacket like a sweater or cardigan and you’ll instantly have a zillion fresh outfits.  Remember it when you’re dying to wear a lighter coat or cape and it’s still a bit too chilly … it’s a perfect layer, as shown above.
