I know this is going to sound weird considering I just posted a pair of flare jeans on Friday, but I’m wondering if this trend is on it’s way out. Are flares over?!

I think it’s hard to make such grand statements when it comes to denim because while it may not be au courant to wear a certain cut, we all know what fits look best on us, which usually trumps trend fluctuations. Do you agree? I noticed on Shopbop today that there’s only one page of wide-leg and flare options, and many are on sale. While we may just be in a off-season moment, maybe the days of the flare as a resurfaced trend du jour are numbered. I’m noticing a strong continuation of printed, moto and colorful denim – and mostly in skinny cuts.

Personally I still love flare denim, and think they can be insanely flattering
