When it comes to the trends of the moment with denim, vintage jeans are definitely the front runner. I’m sure most of you have realised that we are seeing more and more celebs and fashion bloggers opting for vintage jeans in the form of Levi’s and RE/DONE, bringing the mom jeans trend into full swing, as well as the vintage inspired cropped flare that’s incredibly popular right now too.
For those of you who love the vintage look but don’t want to do actual vintage denim as you might find it too restricting, stiff or just not your thing, what can you do? Most premium denim brands have released their own take on the vintage fits so you can get a brand new pair of jeans with vintage denim inspiration. This includes a mom jeans fit, a worn and washed in wash, a high rise, a cropped leg, a straight leg or flared fit etc, all in brand new denim so you can break them in yourself. Check out these 10 great vintage inspired new jeans options below! I’m sure you will love them!

Levis 501 Jeans in Light Sky
Of course we have the original Levi’s 501 jeans in this line up first! What could be more vintage and hold more denim heritage than a pair of 501’s? Luckily, Levi’s are still stocking this fit as their core style as it has been for decades, so you are able to get a pair of 501’s in a vintage looking wash, brand new. The fit and feel of the 501 now is slightly more modern and soft too so it’s not as uncomfortable as days past.

RED CARD 25th Anniversary Jeans in Kita Vintage Light Wash
I know these don’t necessarily have a vintage mom jeans fit as such, but they have a cropped straight leg and a mid rise, but the wash is what drew me to these. They look like a heavily worn and washed pair of vintage jeans that just keep getting better with age in my opinion.

M.i.h Jeans Jeanne Jeans in Whiptail
If you loved that slouchy, cropped straight leg and high rise, similar to the 501, M.i.h Jeans have you covered. This Jeanne fit looks like it came straight out of the mom jeans era and the wash has a more modern take on a battered, washed out pair of vintage jeans. If you fancy the crotch area to fit a little tighter and slimmer, but you want that classic fit everywhere else, these look to be a good option.

Citizens of Humanity Liya in Fade Out
The Citizens Liya fit is currently my favourite vintage fit there is at the moment. I am obsessed with it. The high rise, straight leg fit is ideal for the mom jean look, but with the soft denim they use and this gorgeous wash, they are ideal. These remind me of a pair that haven’t been abused and have been looked after a lot more because they’re darker, so if the bleached out blues aren’t for you, these definitely could be.

AG The Phoebe High Waisted Jeans in 24 Years Blazing Sun
AG have also dipped into the vintage jeans trend and have released the Phoebe which also features a raw hem as well as a super high rise, straight, cropped leg. AG are always known to create authentic looking washes, so I’m sure you can imagine how great these will be in person. They did make their Phoebe slightly more modern though with heavy distressed areas, so if you want more of a modern take on the trend, this is it.

Joe’s Jeans The Olivia Cropped Flares in Mimi
Now for those of you who love the cropped flare trend that’s insanely popular right now, but want to make them look vintage, these Joe’s Jeans Olivia flares are perfect. This fit has a looser silhouette from the thigh down and it looks really relaxed and easy wearing, which is definitely reminiscent of decades ago. The lighter, sandy wash really ties in nicely with the cut too.
