Fit and Fabric:

I am between a 28 and 29, and the Frame Le High Flare 29s fit me well. This denim is very soft a malleable but holds its shape fairly well. The waist is high at 10 inches (but not extremely high like the Revice Boogie Bells) and sits slightly below my natural waist—they measure 10 inches. They accommodate my substantial thighs and bootie without issue. They are very long like all jeans seem to be—I had mine hemmed for heels. These are 93% cotton, 5% polyester and 3% elastane, but the various Le High Flares are made of different fabrics so check the tag or descriptions.

Look:

I don’t know if it’s just me, but I thought these made my legs look quite long—and trust me they are not! I am 5″4′. Part of the reason is probably because I hemmed them to be long… the longer you can keep your flares, the longer they seem to make your legs look (i.e. have them cover most of your shoe) These are a classic high-waist flare that can be dressed up or down. They’re the perfect backdrop for an exciting top with lots of jewelry, or wear them for weekend hangout sessions with a sweatshirt. They’re more of a subtle flare than an extreme one.

Feel:

The denim is very soft and pliable. I haven’t tested it myself, but I’m pretty sure they are airplane-ride-across-the-country comfortable. They’re comfortable enough for longterm couch lounging—they’re almost jammies level. This also means that they show a bit more of what’s underneath, but I didn’t find that to be problematic.

Caveats:

Three minor ones: 1. The length, as I mentioned—if you’re not model-tall or wear five-inch heels on the regular, you will need to hem them; 2. The fabric is soft so it doesn’t really provide that girdle effect like some jeans do, but that means they’re very comfy; 3. They did slide down a bit as I wore them. This was less problematic than other jeans I own, but I thought you should know.
