Laura from On The Racks has the kind of style every girl envies. She’s a chameleon when it comes to silhouettes, and pulls off looks from every end of the spectrum with (wildly photogenic) ease. Her taste in denim ranges just as freely, from colored to skinny and from cropped to flared. I got to catch up with Laura recently to discuss denim pairings, vintage Levis and the J Brand addiction she just can’t shake.
What’s your denim philosophy?
Have fun with it! Denim doesn’t have to be simple. I love to wear a basic pair of jeans with a wild shirt, lots of layers, or fun accessories. And of course a killer pair of heels or boots!
What do you wear with denim?
Anything and everything! That is the best part about denim — it is so versatile that you can pair with almost any look and make it work.
What are your favorite brands?
I love J Brand, Siwy, Levi’s, and Blank NYC. Also BDG from Urban Outfitters has affordable and cute colorful jeans, which I am loving right now!
Tell us about the jeans you wear most often?
They are a pair of high waist Imitation of Christ skinny jeans that I have had forever. I love the cut and wash, and they fit just right! Or if the weather cooperates, I always bust out my distressed vintage Levi’s cutoffs. They are totally my favorite.

What is on your denim wishlist?
I have always wanted a pair of Acne jeans! Also, I constantly crave new J Brands. I think their denim rocks!
