The first thing you need to know about the author of Court & Hudson is that her name is not Courtney. Her name is Christine, and Court and Hudson are the names of her favorite streets in New Jersey and NYC, respectively. Now that we’ve got that straightened out, lets talk about her style. Christine has a really excellent knack for putting together sophisticated looks with a dash of sartorial whimsy. I caught up with her this week to pick her brain about her denim go-tos and what’s on her radar for fall.
What’s your denim philosophy?
Versatility, color and comfort are key when selecting denim for me. I love being able to style any piece I buy multiple times in a variety of ways. Whether it be for a casual weekend brunch or a night out with friends, denim is one of those unique wardrobe staples that allows the flexibility to wear for so many occasions.
What do you wear with denim?
Anything! That’s the great thing about denim. To me it really serves as a blank canvas to pile on textures, color and patterns. I love denim + sparkle – a great statement necklace with a pair of chic skinnies always makes me feel uber confident. If you ask my husband, his favorite denim combo of mine is dark denim and a white tee.
What are your favorite brands?
Gap denim leggings are fantastic for fall and winter when tucking into tall boots. J Brand are also a favorite of mine when it comes to retaining rich color and avoiding “baggy knees” notorious in stretch styles. Hudson has some of the softest denim I’ve ever owned, hence my ode to it in my “Pajama Jean” post earlier this year. And my most recent find and popular fall trend, the Zara coated denim looks like leather but doesn’t tote all of the disadvantages of leather pants.
Tell us about the jeans you wear most often?
Seriously can’t get enough of black denim Gap leggings. I love them for their length, color and all around skinniness. They’re fantastic, and I sing their praises on a daily basis – well at least every time I wear them!
What is on your denim wish list?
For fall, definitely the Genetic Denim “Visionaries” studded jean – they are all sorts of fierce, and I like it! I’m also loving the honey colored carpenter jeans from Elizabeth and James – the potential wardrobe pairings are endless.

I have been browsing online more than 4 hours today, yet I never found any interesting article like yours. It is pretty worth enough for me. In my view, if all website owners and bloggers made good content as you did, the net will be a lot more useful than ever before.|
