The ‘’Sustainability as Competitive Advantage’’ seminar took place in Istanbul on November seventh in association with The Consulate General of the Kingdom of Netherlands in Istanbul, Istanbul Chamber of Commerce (ITO), and CSR Consulting Turkey because of the four hundredth anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Netherlands and Turkey. Netherland’s Prime Minister Mark Rutte delivered an opening speech at the seminar on sustainability as a competitive advantage.

Rutte emphasized the importance of sustainability as competitive advantage in the global marketplace and mentioned that sustainability has to become a lifestyle. The seminar brought together speakers and experts from a number of leading companies in Turkey and the Netherlands, with the objective to exchange knowledge and strengthen business relations between both nations. After the panel, speakers shared their practices about sustainable business with ‘’senior government officials’’, ‘’executives from leading companies’’, and ‘’experts from best practice organizations’’ workshops.
