Burt’s Bees has called on singer-songwriter Carly Rae Jepsen to be the official face of its Güd line of sustainable body- and hair-care products —no ifs, buts, or maybes about it. With her high-energy, “flower-child pop” sound, the “Call Me Maybe” singer-songwriter is the embodiment of Güd, according to the company, whose youth-focused line includes fragrances and formulas withe names like “Orange Petalooza” and “Pearanormal Activity.” As the brand’s first spokesperson, Jepsen will appear in a multimedia marketing campaign debuting this spring, including the May issues of fashion, beauty, and lifestyle publications such as Glamour, Allure, and Cosmopolitan.
