In celebration of Thailand’s main agricultural export, Bangkok-based firm, Apostrophy’s designed and installed Royal Rice Field, a golden LED lighting installation meant to resemble a field of rice. Royal Rice Field features 300 golden-yellow lights with LED bulbs topped with acrylic rice-shaped spikes. The piece was installed outside of the SCG Experience building just in time for His Majesty the King Bhumibol’s birthday. The Thai King has long supported the country’s agricultural industry and frequently encourages villagers to be more self-sufficient.
