CATWALK MOMENT
Saint Laurent’s answer to Dolce & Gabbana’s grand catwalk finale (above), where around 60 models take to the runway en masse, was a smattering of fishnet-clad, biker-boot wearing girls in leather minidresses, cementing the grungy feel of the collection.

BEST IN FROW
Bona fide Hollywood star Kirsten Dunst brought boyfriend Garrett Hedlund along to watch the Saint Laurent shenanigans unfold. The couple met while filming On the Road, as were seated next to Anna Wintour, no doubt dashing Garrett charmed her socks off…

Ever the animal rights activist, Stella McCartney was sure to include a pro-eco message in the inviation to yesterday’s show, including a polar bear toy with each invite and a call to action for the recipient to ‘Protect the world’s last polar bears’ by visiting www.polarbearsos.org . Do it now.

A touch of Kass…
It’s not every day we see Carmen Kass on the catwalk – or every season for that matter. The Estonian supermodel came out of runway retirement to walk in the Ungaro show, which was rebooted by Italian designer Fausto Puglisi.

LOOKS WE LOVE

RE-MODELLED: Hanne Gaby Odiele
With a tidy 31 shows under her belt so far, Belgian clotheshorse Hanne Gaby Odiele is about to cap off yet another successful season. Her pale complexion and blonde hair/ blue eyed pairing was the formula of choice for casting directors at Sacai; Yves Saint Laurent and Giambattista Valli yesterday.

STREET STYLISTAS
Anna Dello Russo takes a power stance in Stella McCartney leopard print; Miroslava Duma turns all Grannyish on us; and look closely… the tangerine lady on the right is carrying Stella McCartney’s tiny polar bear figurine.

BEAUTY MOMENT: EMANUEL UNGARO
Just when we were beginning to get nervous about a distinctly bare faced make-up moment at virtually all the Paris shows, along came make-up artist Tom Pecheux who delivered – as he always does – something all together more wearable, feminine and beautiful. With just a touch of gold gel pressed into eyelids, curled lashes, one coat of mascara (hallelujah), a little glowing foundation on the skin and a warm lilac lipstick we now have a user-friendly, but still modern, way to channel next season’s raw beauty.
