In 2009, Koç was capped twice by the Turkish national women’s football team.
Filiz Koç, a female Turkish football player who appeared twice for the national team, has been offered a position hosting a sports show on Germany’s Sky television channel, daily Milliyet reported on its website Monday.
Carsten Schmidt from Sky television said they believed Koç had great potential and that they wanted to train her as a sports newscaster.
Koç previously appeared in the TV drama “Tatort” in Germany, where she played the character of Fadime Gülüç, a Turkish football player who is then murdered.
Koç was born in Ankara in 1986 but grew up in Hannover, Germany. She followed in her father Savaş Koç’s footsteps, also a professional football player, and played at Mellendorf TV, which climbed to German football league’s second division.
In 2009, Koç was capped twice by the Turkish national women’s football team.
