tentAs more people opt for a nomadic lifestyle, there is an increasing need for objects that enable people to travel light. Urban Rough Sleepers is essentially a single person tent that can be compressed into a backpack that also has storage space inside. Envisioned by Danish Ragnhild Lübbert Terpling from Good Design, this clever tent can be used for spontaneous urban camping or give homeless people much-needed shelter.

Urban Rough Sleepers is the perfect for those who want to hit the road and leave their busy lives behind them. A designer and a journalist, Ragnhild Lübbert Terpling took inspiration from the real world experiences of homeless people he encountered. Durable and versatile, it consists of a retractable single-person tent that can be carried around as a backpack, with extra items tied to its exterior.

But the best part of this new pop-up shelter design is its interesting business model. 10 percent of the profit derived from each item sold will be used towards an Urban Rough Sleeper for a homeless person. This way, affluent young campers can also help people living on the streets meet their storage, mobility and shelter needs.
