Most people would never think of putting a 1,500 horsepower supercar and an orchid in the same sentence, but Singapore’s Vanda Electric has done it with the Dendrobium electric supercar that is named after the Singaporean orchid. With 1,500 horsepower on tap and a 0-60 mph time of 2.6 seconds, the Dendrobium has what it takes to take on the world’s best supercars, but with one unique trait – zero emissions.

It’s likely that you’ve never heard of Vanda Electric, but with $10 million in capital and a partnership with the Williams Advanced Engineering team, it may not be that long until the Singapore-based company becomes a household name. We may even get to see a working prototype of the Dendrobium by this time next year at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show.

With a battery pack ranging from 90-100 kWh in size, the Dendrobium will have an estimated driving range of 249 miles and, thanks to the 1,500 horsepower on tap, it will have a top speed around 250 mph. Vanda Electric hasn’t released any other specs or pricing, but production will reportedly be extremely limited to just 10 units.
