The new Shenzhen Performing Arts Facility in China was designed and built with special attention to the needs of the local community. Zoboki-Demeter Architects conceived it as a multifunctional complex of cultural and sports facilities and a space where visitors and the artists can feel at home. A floating metal roof hovers above the entire complex, fabricated from tens of thousands of individually made aluminum forms.
