Wearable technology is an upcoming concept that is gradually gaining acceptance in the mainstream fashion world with more and more new generation tech-savvy designers coming up with path breaking inventions by combining the benefits of latest technology with apparels.
One of the recent breakthrough innovations is the Wearable Solar powered clothing, created by Dutch fashion designer Pauline van Dongen. Made using wool and leather, the two revolutionary outfits, a coat and a dress, are embedded with rigid and flexible solar cells, which when exposed to sunlight for an hour or so can store enough energy to charge a smartphone by 50 percent.
