It’s hard not to feel instantly more stylish even just browsing the online collections from
Bon George. Your admiration will grow even stronger when you learn that every piece is uniquely crafted from vintage textiles. Founders Jennifer Vu and Lucy Alvarez launched this concept of limited-edition garments made entirely from salvaged fabric. These gorgeous, finely crafted pieces are feminine, refined, and are breathing new life into old cloth.

All of the Bon George garments are designed and produced in Los Angeles, keeping the carbon footprint small with this vertical integration. Since all of the fabrics and trims used are found vintage lots, the garments are limited in quantity. “Because we use only vintage textiles and trims all sourced locally in LA, you’re investing in a limited-edition piece you can truly treasure,” says Vu.
When Vu was working in media strategy for a fashion focused ecommerce group, she became inspired to go out on her own. Vu says that she “created Bon George to provide a transparent e-commerce destination for eco-friendly and ethically-made garments.”
Bon George’s approach to design is to “try to keep our designs timeless yet still modern and fun that you can wear through the years and feel special in.” We love their sensual crop tops paired with silhouetted skirts that are sleek and sophisticated.

The Bon George style is inspired by the Los Angeles entrepreneurial creatives that value craft and meaningful design. Interviews from local artisans, jewelers, bloggers, photographers, and others are featured on the Bon George blog, sporting their favorite Bon George outfit.
For example, jewelry designer Jess Hannah talks about how she is most sentimental about the things she inherited from her grandmother.
