Los Angeles-based sustainable skateboard company Bureo has developed the world’s first skateboard deck made entirely out of recycled fishing nets! The company has set up a recycling program called “Net Positiva” that salvages old fishing nets from the coast of Chile to create its Minnow boards. Every board takes 30 square feet of nets out of the ocean, which reduces the design’s greenhouse gas footprint by as much as 70%.
