You guys, I don’t know if I’ve hit the ultimate high or the ultimate low in denim. These are pajama jeans you’re clear to leave the house in. Better yet – take on the streets of Soho in them, too.
Or are they too much? Just right? You be the judge, but let me tell you some things before you announce your verdict. These ‘Birdie’ drawstring wide-leg pants are first of all insanely comfortable (obviously), but second of all super light-weight. This makes them an excellent summer pant for breezy days and casual Friday at the office.

These pants also feature a trouser-style slant pocket, rear faux flap pockets, as well as a cool, subtle print of diamonds, dots and pinstripes. These Citizens of Humanity pants are also 100% cotton, so to keep the fit and length I’d recommend washing on cold (though I always wash my denim on cold). On my 5’6″ frame, the 33 inch inseam allows for these to look perfect with a four inch heel.

I don’t wear many wide-leg pants (denim or not) but these have a really great silhouette. I also love that they ride high enough to look less like pajamas than actual pajamas, despite having a drawstring at the waist. For a casual (and very hot) day at the office (like today) I paired them with a bold neon tank and statement necklace and my most comfortable heeled sandals. These would also look great with a bodysuit or in the fall – with a cable-knit sweater and booties.

How do you feel about premium pajama jeans? Perfect for summer or too casual?
