The ‘Roads are Ours’ Corporation was in Moda Street in Kadikoy to bring attention to the importance of the environment, urban planning, and sustainable transportation with the World Car-Free Day on September 22.
‘Roads are Ours’ members got together with their bicycles and the event was started by using the tool named YAYABA. This tool shows how to use space more efficiently. That’s why after parking their YOYOBA, they showed how many people could fit in one parking spot. Beside listening to music and doing a picnic, ‘Roads are Ours’ members gave information to neighborhood residents about European Mobility Week and World Car-Free Day.
YAYABA hosted all the people who were interested, especially children. At the end of the day, when rush hour began, ‘Roads are Ours’ members lived the comfort of a Car-Free life. By travelling with their YAYABA from Moda to Kadikoy, they listened to the complaints and got support for the coming events.
