First Lego League is a robotics program, which has been organized by First foundation for nine to sixteen year olds since 1989. FLL aims to get children excited about science and technology, and to teach them valuable employment and life skills.

Along with a group of volunteers, Hakan Habip has been organizing the Turkish branch of FLL in Turkey for the last eight seasons. In October 2011, they started and NGO called Science Heroes Association. They have reached five thousand two hundred students from twenty-two cities.

This year our children will participate in a program that allows them to participate in activities, share experiences, improve effectiveness, and learn new things.

The Engineer’s, from our Kayseri Factory, children teamed up. Seven team coaches have volunteered. Önder Ünver, Serdar Kalaycı and Mustafa Gezener went to Ankara for technical education and formation from November 17th to 18th and taught what they learned to the other volunteers. Children and team coaches got together on November 24th and 25th for the first meeting. We aim to be successful at the local tournament and be ready for the national tournament, which will take place in March, in Istanbul. The best projects will participate in the International tournament in Germany, in June.

This year the subject of the project is ‘Elder Care’. Good luck to our team!
