Portugal produces approximately 50% of the world’s cork – and this beautiful family home in Lisbon makes great use of the rapidly renewable material. Atelier Data created the Varatojo House from reclaimed railway ties, colored concrete and Quercus suber bark. The brilliant dwelling is closed to the elements yet opens up to magnificent views of Lisbon.
