The whole model off duty thing is hard for me. It’s not fair, right? Lovely faces, intangibly cool style, and the ability to know how to always look great in photos.

Let’s maybe try to leave out Jac Jagaciak’s lovely face (captured here by Stockholm Street Style) for a sec, and focus on her amazing look here. The layering totally makes it. To be honest, I’m not sure exactly what she’s wearing here, and how she’s wearing so many coats and vests at once. However, we can definitely try to pull something similar together with a few key pieces:

• Slim denim leggings long enough to cover your ankles (even with socks)
• A black wool coat with a dramatic collar
• A black faux fur vest
• An oversize moto jacket
• A black beanie

Seeing as it’s still about negative freezing degrees Fahrenheit in NYC right now – I’m going to try something like this as soon as possible. The essence of a look like this is sticking to a color palette, like strictly black and grey. No matter how many layers you can actually wear, the effect is still very model off duty.
