The blogging community can be kind of a strange thing. When you finally meet someone who’s blog you’ve been looking at for a while, introductions feel strange, and almost unnecessary. Between the comments, tweets and emails, you practically know each other already. That’s a bit how I felt when I met Caroline Knapp of Sweet Caroline In The City, at a brunch over New York Fashion Week last month. Lucky for me, she was as lovely and stylish in person as she comes across in her posts. (Not to mention, she was wearing rolled denim and ankle booties with a button down – a look I love.) I interviewed Caroline this week to get the inside scoop on her denim favorites and current cravings.
What’s your denim philosophy?
My denim philosophy is all about fit – find a style or brand that flatters your figure and stick with it!
What do you wear with denim?
My favorite thing about denim is it’s versatility. You can wear a faded t-shirt and flats during the day and then throw on a sequin top and heels at night to take the same pair of jeans from casual to chic.
What are your favorite brands?
J Brand and Seven For All Mankind (still one of my favs after all these years). Honestly, I don’t branch out much!
Tell us about the jeans you wear most often?
I have a broken in pair of Seven jeans that I have worn for years. I never got them altered so I have to roll the hem, but I love the casual vibe it gives with flats or heels.
What is on your denim wish list?
Jeans in ever color! So far I have experimented with red and teal, but I would love a pair in wine, sapphire blue, burnt orange, brown… the list goes on. I am also loving all the different fabrications in jeans right now. I think corduroy, velvet & leather are all fun variations for fall.

I'm extremely impressed with your writing skills and also with the layout on your weblog. Is this a paid theme or did you modify it yourself? Anyway keep up the nice quality writing, it is rare to see a great blog like this one nowadays..
