Who’s on your holiday shopping list this year? Dearest Mom and Dad? Roommates and friends? No matter who you’re scrambling to check off in the coming weeks – I bet you know what I’m going to say next – there’s a little something denim for everyone!

Mom: If your mom’s wardrobe could use a modern update, why not treat her to a classic, versatile denim or chambray shirt? As you may or may not have to explain to her, there are so many different ways to take a denim shirt and dress it up or down, it’s the kind of gift she’ll actually get some great wear out of.

Dad, Boyfriend, Brother: Most of us know a man or two who could use a little guidance when it comes to denim. They’re easily set in their ways, and would happily wear the same old pair of Levi’s to the grave – if they weren’t shown a better option. Even if your man has great taste (and maybe especially), treat him to a new pair of slim, dark denim jeans. Classic, easy and embarrassment-free.

Roommates, Friends, Sisters: Personally, I’d stay away from gifting your female friends and relatives a pair of jeans. The fit of jeans is so personal, and sizing is so fickle from brand to brand, I’d let the women in your life pick their own pants. Instead, what about a denim jacket? You could go classic with this Madewell version, or lux with a shearling-lined version from R13.

Stocking Stuffers & More: If those on your list are already well-equipped in the denim department, give them an elevated accessory to give their style a boost. A pair of Karen Walker sunnies will make any girl feel like a movie star, and a chic phone case is an inexpensive way to show someone how well you understand their (fantastic) taste.
