Since colored denim came on the scene a few years ago, printed denim has become the next logical step. There’s been leopard print, floral, ikat… but video game inspired? My husband would love it. Calla Haynes, the designer behind Calla, showed her AW 2013 collection this weekend, it was fanciful, practical, spring colors for fall, and inspired by Tetris and Legend of Zelda, the color pallet and print really embodies the digital age and nostalgia.
I personally, love geometric patterns, and the more fun of a story behind them, the better. Now we just keep our white shoes out after Labor Day.
