The weather outside is frightful. In some places… Here in San Francisco, it’s gorgeous, but I do remember living on the East Coast and in Germany, January and February are the worst when it comes to weather… and getting dressed. Like having the desire to BURN that winter coat I loved so much in September. Sure, it would be nice to wear a flowy dress, but for the home stretch of winter, it’s more practical to stick with jeans. Luckily, there are some wonderful outfits you can throw together for the effortlessly cozy look on those dreary winter days…. and you guessed it, they mostly incorporate jeans. Like the woman above snapped on The Locals, is wearing a great pair of winter “white” jeans similar to the Paige Skyline Peg Ankle Jeans in Sand (which I have and wear regularly!)… there are several styles you can work with to break out of that winter rut:

Subtle Colored Jeans

Brightly colored jeans may not be a trend for 2014 (who knows, I keep thinking any day now…) however, that doesn’t mean that more subtle colors like olive, grey and beige won’t be on our radar for seasons to come because those colors never go out of style. The Mother Zip Looker Jeans in Olive are perfect for all year

It’s a blast from the past, but never more fashion forward… Acid wash

What’s the difference between skinny jeans and denim leggings? Good question! It’s all in the amount of stretch and denim weight. I always feel a little bigger after the holidays and denim leggings help stay comfy. The AG Adriano Goldschmied Denim Leggings have the perfect wash and cut to wear all year.
