This isn’t really the ideal platform to talk about it, so I haven’t told you all yet how much I LOVE the Olympics. But I do, a lot.

There’s something about the idea of the entire planet coming together for a couple of weeks, to celebrate and compete in athletic feats that makes me giddy and emotional. Anyway, denim. Right? I have to start talking about denim now.

Ever since the royal engagement, Kate Middleton’s every sartorial choice has been under incredible scrutiny. Luckily for all of us, she’s been pretty much knocking it out of the park with each public outing she makes.

At the London 2012 Olympics, she’s been all about supporting Team GB, and she’s been all about her J Brand skinny jeans. It’s become clear that The Duchess of Cambridge (who pays for her own clothes) is a loyal supporter of the brand, and manages to expertly wear (and re-wear) her favorite pairs with everything from wedges to Breton  stripes, and classic blazers.

The other great appeal Kate’s style is how easy it is to channel her looks. To get an Olympic-chic ensemble, pair the J Brand Clean Story skinnny jeans with a Breton stripe shirt or ivory blouse with a classic navy blazer and cork-sole wedges. Voila – style fit for a queen!

(Bouncy, shiny brunette locks not included.)
