After making such a fuss earlier this week about cheating on my skinny jeans with those excellent trousers, I’m back to my old habits again. This time though, it’s for a good cause. J Brand has partnered with City Year to try and help keep high school students in school. For their part, J Brand is offering these limited-edition mid-rise skinny twill pants.

Participating in this amazing project was a no-brainer for me for two reasons: I already worship at the alter of J Brand skinnies, and I loved high school. It was the foundation for all this top-knotch writing you see here, and without that education, I never would have ended up in New York City.

The pants went on sale October 18 (and are still available now), with 100% of the net proceeds being donated to City Year.  Their organization aims to reduce the high school dropout rate by identifying public school students at risk of dropping out and providing them with mentoring, role-model and tutoring services to stay on track.

J Brand’s goal is to sell 1,000 pairs of jeans. You can purchase a pair , and they’re available in four colors. I’m partial to the olive green for fall, because they’ll go perfectly with my chunky knits and denim shirts.
