Do you ever find it funny that though my personal style (that you can see in my denim reviews) leans towards a classic, preppy style – the street style images I post tend to have a much more rock-and-roll aesthetic?
I think there must be an edgy, tattooed, hipster girl trapped somewhere inside me. My appreciation for a hat at a quirky angle, lots of black, booties-and-shorts combos and all kinds of rips and studs always manifests itself in these photos rather than my own outfits.
I think if I were to start channeling my inner Lower East Side hipster chick, it might looks something like this. I love a big, flowing, top, and I dig how this girl has knotted hers in the front to reveal just a peek of her short-shorts.
Channel her look with this Vince top. For you daring girls, these MINKPINK shorts are definitely short, like our friend here. In New York City at least, the time when you can survive in closed-toe booties is coming to and end, but these Rachel Comey ones are spot-on.
