Sometimes I feel like skinny jeans are teetering on the edge of being dated… because you know they seem to be replaced by boyfriend jeans in terms of this year’s “It” style. Then a craving comes along that makes me think… oh don’t pack away those skinny jeans quite yet.

Skinny jeans with knee holes.

Yeah, sure, destroyed jeans have been around for ages. Skinny jeans have been around for ages. What’s so new about this style? Well, it’s in the way the hole is. Not quite so “distressy” as it’s a deliberate slice in the knee. Not meant to look worn in, these knee holes have moderately frayed edges. They’re cut our, ripped by hand of course most the time they ALL are done by hand… except those pair of jeans I have which have holes from actual spills I’ve taken on the sidewalk (not drunk…I’m just clumsy) those holes are actually quite small, like silver dollar size. These holes can be slits, actual holes dramatic and baring the entire knee. Or just something subtle. All on skinny, skinny jeans.

So you can either buy them pre-distressed, like J Brand’s 8227 Mid Rise Ankle Jean… or do them yourself, if you dare!
