When your brand is centered around the history of the single most notable denim makers in the world, you pay attention to the details. Such has always been the case for Levi’s Vintage Clothing, and they have just added one more to the lineup taking us into the new year. No, not 2017. 1976 is their newest year for their 501 repro lineup.

Painstakingly reproduced from a deadstock Levi’s garment from that timeframe, these jeans are constructed from 12oz. Cone Mills red line selvedge denim and like many 501’s features a button fly with single button closure. The back pockets are lock stitched rather than chain stitched and have the arcuates sewn in, and the fit is still tapered like their closest 501, the 1978, with a slightly higher rise for some added room. Even the waist label is a tear-off like the original, and you’d be hard pressed to find a pair of jeans more accurate than the originals themselves. You might as well save yourself the thrifting or sifting through eBay and take a look at LVC.
