My biggest teenage heartthrob, who slayed me in The Outsiders and Rumble Fish, is the face of FRAME’s latest advertising campaign. Clearly Matt Dillon’s still got it at the age of 51.

The brand’s Swedish designers, Jens Grede and Erik Torstensso, described to WWD how they chose Dillon for the campaign:
“We were sitting in Los Angeles and discussing who is the man we would like to be. Matt has been a stylish person for so many years. He has great integrity and he’s lived a life that we wouldn’t have minded living.”

Grede and Torstensso are former Art Directors of GQ Style, founders of Man About Town and the creators of Mr. Porter, Net-a-Porter’s menswear offshoot. They launched FRAME in 2012 with women’s jeans and introduced just one men’s style in 11 washes in 2014. The brand is gearing up for an expanded Spring 2016 men’s collection, which will include denim jackets, shirts, cashmere sweaters and T-shirts, with Mr. Dillon as their handsome mascot. Seems like an auspicious start!
