By now you’ve all come to know ESD’s Monday post maven, Ann from Holier Than Now, but she does a pretty good job of staying behind the lens. I’ve been able to spend some time with her during NYFW, and not surprisingly, she can really rock a pair of jeans. I absolutely love her outfit here. It’s pieces I would never think to put together, and somehow it all looks so right.

To get a look like Ann’s try a cool neon top like this, this or this, with printed denim that has a more subdued print like these, these or these with furry Booties like these. However, more important than mixing the most similar pieces you can find to emulate this look is just to keep a little whimsy in mind when you’re dressing. Give yourself some extra time in the morning to play around in your closet, make some mistakes and try a new combination. You’d be surprised at how chic and current you can look when you pull together items you’d never have dared to a year ago.
