If you saw my post on how to re-sell denim, you won’t be surprised that I just tried to sell my denim dress amongst a bunch of other fashion week splurges purchases!  I was on the fence about parting with it … and I suppose the fates were too, because to paraphrase the old quote (and Tim Gunn): if you love something set it free – if it comes back to you, it’s yours forever … so make it work!

So it was with a certain relief and sense of commitment that I took this dress out of my “to ship” bag and styled it up 3 ways.  The shirtdress style is so easy to dress up or down, and of course as we all know here – denim goes with everything!

1. Western Inspired: Here I focused on a colorful belt (similar by Missoni) and fringe bag, which were easily paired with a Rachel Comey boot (similar style).

2. Bright Now: A simple dress like this is a great canvas for brights, so grab your favorite neon flats (similar by Vera Wang) and a bright clutch, and cinch the waist with a solid skinny belt (great selection of similar).

3. Office Casual: A great way to get away with denim at the office, I added a soft blazer to add a bit of structure, and a lace-up bootie(similar by Loeffler Randall).
